The wooden home is charming! Made of solid exotic hardwoods, she is resistant to rot and termites. Sitting up high on stilts the home offers storage below, and the second story living space opens up in all directions for ultimate airflow. The covered wrap around deck is the place to be on warm afternoons, when you’ve returned from the beach. With a simple kitchen/dining/living/sleeping area, this offgrid home is made for the outdoorsperson without sacrificing the major creature comforts. There is gas powered hot water, solar power for electricity, wifi and septic system for the indoor bathroom.
The yoga platform is 4 x 4 meters, and offers awe inspiring views from the highest point of the property. The path to the yoga platform is aligned with lemon grass, basil and other edible herbs. This property is teeming with fruits! The canvas tent is on stilts as well, to allow airflow underneath, and to keep the extra lodging dry during heavy rains.

THE LAND
Hardly believable how beautiful this beachfront property is and every square inch feels private, and serene. Located along a private stretch of road on the North coast of Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro, this 5 hectare property forms a gentle valley, with higher elevation on it’s East and West borders. This unique topography gives the property an extra feeling of exclusiveness, as does the thick layer of jungle separating the home and build sites from the road behind. A 150 meter drive way has been carved through the property’s jungle, and layered with caliche to prevent erosion. The driveway leads straight to the little wooden home, and there is a caliche enforced turn around.
The wooden home is built on top of one of the property’s 2 hills. Set back from the sea breeze, and nestled in a garden, the home has incredible views of the open ocean, and of course Bird Island. On a higher point of the hill to the East, there is a covered yoga platform, the roof of which collects rain in 3 large tanks, which provide the home with gravity fed water.
There is a canvas wall tent on stilts West of the wooden home, and beyond that is the second hill top. This second hill offerings a phenomenal second build site. Each of the hill tops absorb gorgeous Northern breezes and incredible ocean energy.
A hibiscus aligned path leads from the wooden home to the property’s West boundary, where a concrete stair case offers easy access to a golden sand beach. The beach is inaccessible to any one, other than the one neighbor on the west side.
