THE LAND

An undulating peninsula, skirted by an incredible Coral Reef, separates the famous Dolphin Bay from the more private Tierra Oscura Lagoon.  One of three private residences at the tip of this peninsula is Villa La Perla, facing West for the Caribbean sunset.

The Tierra Oscura Lagoon is changing however- what once felt like the farthest place on earth from civilization is now road accessible! A new paved road links the mainland coastline to the Almirante Highway, something we never thought we'd see in our Tierra Oscurra days. This infrastructural improvement offers Tierra Oscura school access to health care for emergencies and eventually electricity. It also offers the water locked property owners of the area a 5 minute boat ride to port, rather than the 35 previously needed to reach docks and cars. Watch this area grow in the next few years, making the logistics of off grid Island life much easier.
